Anchor University is a private, faith-based university anchored on Christian principles
, with the aim of integrating strong moral principles into the learning experiences of the students. It is duly licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The University is located at Ayobo, Ipaja in Lagos State.




WHAT YOU MUST KNOW
The Proprietor of Anchor University is the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM). The Ministry was started in August 1973 in Flat 2 at University of Lagos Campus. It was incorporated on August 21, 1977. The Ministry’s affair is headed by its founding leader referred to as the General Superintendent, Pastor (Dr.) W.F. Kumuyi, who is the Overseer of the Deeper Life Bible Church, the church arm of the Ministry world-wide. The DCLM is a holiness movement with strong evangelical drive and it has branches in over 60 countries in the world.
Before now, the Ministry has been involved in education-related activities. It has a Bible institute named International Bible Training Centre with its headquarters at Ayobo in Ipaja Lagos. Other centres are situated in Ibadan, Jos, Port Harcourt and Abuja. These Centres have contributed tremendously in training numerous Christian leaders, missionaries and church founders.
Other arms of the ministry include:

• The Women Ministry which publishes the Christian Women Mirror, a highly educative, spiritually inspiring and life-transforming magazine;
• The Deeper Life Campus Fellowship which has helped to develop intellectual giants in our country and publishes the Campus Pearl;
• The Deeper Life Schools Outreach which has been involved in preparing teenagers for a fruitful spiritual life and academic excellence in their studies igniting the desires in them to pursue higher education. This arm publishes the Higher Everyday, an intellectually stimulating and morally challenging publication;
• The International Friendship League which ministers to high net-worth individuals to inculcate in them moral and spiritual regeneration necessary for a transformed society

Vision

The Vision of the University is:
"To be a citadel of learning for holistic human transformation and development".
Explanatory notes on the vision: ANCHOR is poised to prepare students for academic excellence with requisite training in the acquisition of moral, social, physical and entrepreneurial skills, among others, here referred to as a holistic human transformation and development.

Mission

The mission of the University is:
"To impart the necessary knowledge, attitude and skills that would enable the graduate become self-reliant practitioners, leaders with godly integrity and researchers with global relevance".
